| The highest office or the greatest shame, | | | | |
| | | | But too proud to show it.....own it or know |
| we leave it all behind! | | | | it!Just skipping in the darkness we "know" as |

| Whether heroes or villains | | | | |
| | | | A walking daydreamer with eyes closed tight! |
| We all end up the same.Spiritually High!Some | | | | |
| of use to try and still probably try! | | | | Cause what frightens us most.....and most of |
| | | | us to death |
| To use chemicals to get a spiritual high! | | | | |
| | | | Is becoming aware......of how we've deceived |
| But after years or moments of abuse---- | | | | ourselves!A spiritual high is anything but |
| | | | thing a thing |
| We found that.....they left us flat | | | | |
| | | | Ring, a ding ding ding......ding a ling |
| On our backs-----or on our faces! | | | | ling!When we've freed ourselves from the |
| | | | chemical hole |
| In some strange places!Then----- we vowed | | | | |
| | | | And beheld the true light glittering in our |
| never do it again! | | | | soul! |

| But heard the sweet calling of our old | | | | Like a bird from its cage....our soul shall |
